Agreement to These Terms

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) are a legally binding agreement between you and APLLET LLC (“APLLET,” “PayMyShare,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) governing your access to and use of PayMyShare websites, mobile applications, and related services that link to these Terms (collectively, the “Service”).

PayMyShare is developed, owned, and operated by APLLET LLC, a company located in New Jersey, United States.

By creating an account, accepting these Terms, purchasing a subscription, or otherwise using the Service, you agree to these Terms and acknowledge our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service. If you are under the age of majority where you live, you may use the Service only with the permission and supervision of a parent or legal guardian who agrees to these Terms on your behalf.

You may not use the Service if applicable law prohibits you from receiving it, if we previously terminated your account for violating these Terms, or if you lack legal capacity to enter this agreement. If you use the Service for an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind it, and “you” includes that organization.

What PayMyShare Does

PayMyShare is an informal shared-expense tracking and record-keeping service. It allows users to create groups, record expenses, calculate suggested shares and balances, attach receipts, send reminders, generate reports, and record settlements made outside the Service.

Expense, balance, and settlement entries are informal records created by users. They are not payment confirmations, loan documents, collection notices, or legally binding determinations that one person owes another. PayMyShare does not independently verify an expense or settlement.

You and the people in your groups are responsible for reviewing shared entries and resolving disagreements directly.

Accounts and Security

PayMyShare login is email-based only. When creating or maintaining an account, you agree to:

• Provide accurate and current information.
• Use an email address you are authorized to use.
• Keep your password and authentication credentials confidential.
• Use reasonable measures to prevent unauthorized access.
• Promptly contact PayMyShare support if you suspect unauthorized access.
• Accept responsibility for account activity, except to the extent caused by our failure to use legally required safeguards.

You may not impersonate another person, use information without authorization, transfer or sell your account, or let another person use it in a way that violates these Terms.

Groups and Shared Information

PayMyShare is collaborative. Information you add to a group or expense may be visible to the users with whom you share it. Depending on available permissions, they may view, edit, comment on, or delete shared entries.

Shared information may include group and member names, expense descriptions, amounts, categories, dates, currencies, payer and participant information, comments, notes, receipts, calculations, balances, settlement records, and edit history.

You are responsible for:

• Selecting the correct people and groups.
• Confirming entries before relying on them.
• Entering only information you may lawfully use and share.
• Avoiding unnecessary sensitive information.
• Resolving disputes with other users about shared records.

Deleting your account may not delete records shared with other users. Shared records may remain in their accounts, with your identifiers removed or de-identified where appropriate and as described in our Privacy Policy.

User Content

“User Content” means information or material you submit to the Service, including group information, expense descriptions, receipts, images, comments, notes, reminders, profile images, feedback, and settlement records.

You retain ownership of your User Content. You grant APLLET LLC a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, process, technically modify, display, and transmit it only as reasonably necessary to operate, secure, support, improve, and provide the Service; follow your instructions; and meet legal obligations. This license ends when content is deleted from active systems, subject to shared records, backups, legal retention, and the Privacy Policy.

You represent that:

• You own the content or have permission to submit and share it.
• The content and our permitted use will not violate law or another person’s rights.
• The content is not knowingly false, fraudulent, or misleading in a way that could cause harm.

We do not endorse User Content or guarantee its accuracy. We may remove or restrict content that violates these Terms, creates legal or security risk, or interferes with the Service. We are not required to monitor all User Content.

Third-Party Services

The Service may contain links to third-party websites, app stores, subscription processors, or services. Their products, transactions, availability, security, and privacy practices are controlled by them and governed by their terms and policies.

PayMyShare does not control or endorse a third-party service merely by linking to it. To the fullest extent permitted by law, APLLET LLC is not responsible for loss arising from your independent transaction or relationship with a third party. No third-party link changes the rule that PayMyShare does not hold funds or transmit payments between users.

Intellectual Property

The Service, including its software, design, text, graphics, trademarks, logos, interfaces, calculations, and content supplied by us, is owned by APLLET LLC or its licensors and protected by intellectual-property laws.

Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to access and use the Service for its intended purpose. No other rights are granted. “PayMyShare,” its logo, and related names and designs are marks of APLLET LLC and may not be used without written permission.

Feedback

If you voluntarily send suggestions or feedback, you grant us a worldwide, perpetual, irrevocable, royalty-free right to use it without restriction or compensation. This does not transfer ownership of your User Content or personal information.

Privacy

Our Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, retain, and protect personal information. It is incorporated into these Terms to the extent permitted by law. If these Terms conflict with the Privacy Policy concerning our treatment of personal information, the Privacy Policy controls.

Copyright Complaints

We respect intellectual-property rights. If you believe content available through the Service infringes your copyright, send a written notice containing the information required by 17 U.S.C. Section 512(c)(3). Identify the copyrighted work and material, provide your contact information, include the required good-faith and accuracy statements, and provide a physical or electronic signature.

We may remove allegedly infringing content and terminate repeat infringers where appropriate. Misrepresenting infringement may create liability. This section is not legal advice about copyright notices or counter-notices.

Suspension and Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time and may delete your account through available settings or the Account Deletion page.

We may suspend, restrict, or terminate access when we reasonably believe you violated these Terms; created fraud, security, legal, or safety risk; failed to pay a subscription fee; or used the Service in a way that could harm users or the Service. When practical and legally permitted, we will provide notice and an opportunity to correct the issue.

We may discontinue all or part of the Service. If a prepaid Pro feature is discontinued before the end of its paid term, we will provide any refund required by law or platform rules. Sections that by their nature should survive will survive termination.

Changes to the Service or these Terms

We may modify features or update these Terms. We will give reasonable advance notice of material changes where required. The updated Terms will identify their effective date and apply prospectively unless law permits otherwise. Continued use after that date constitutes acceptance. If you disagree, stop using the Service and cancel any renewing subscription.

Governing Law and Disputes

These Terms are governed by New Jersey law and applicable federal law, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles.

Before filing a lawsuit, you and APLLET LLC agree to make a good-faith attempt to resolve the dispute by sending written notice describing the claim and requested relief to the address in Contact Us . Either party may seek urgent injunctive relief without completing this process.

Except where consumer law requires otherwise, disputes must be brought in state or federal courts located in Middlesex County, New Jersey, and each party consents to their jurisdiction. Eligible individual claims may be brought in small-claims court. Nothing waives a non-waivable right or remedy under applicable New Jersey consumer-protection law.

Miscellaneous

These Terms, the Privacy Policy, and purchase terms accepted at checkout are the entire agreement concerning the Service. Specific purchase terms control only that purchase; the Privacy Policy controls our treatment of personal information.

• If a provision is invalid, it will be enforced to the maximum lawful extent and the remaining provisions stay effective.
• Failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver.
• You may not assign these Terms without written consent. We may assign them in a qualifying corporate transaction, subject to law.
• These Terms create no third-party rights unless expressly stated.
• You agree to receive agreements, notices, receipts, and communications electronically, subject to applicable withdrawal or paper-record rights.
• Headings are for convenience and do not affect interpretation.
